Job Summary
Gun Hobbies is looking for a knowledgeable, customer-focused Sales Associate to guide shoppers, from first-time buyers to experienced collectors, to the right products. You’ll earn base pay plus commission on firearm, suppressor, and lower sales, so the more you sell, the more you make. We provide paid training on compliance procedures and store systems. You bring the product knowledge and a great attitude.
Responsibilities
- Help customers find the right firearm, ammo, or accessory, whether they’re first-time buyers or seasoned shooters
- Follow all safety and loss prevention procedures.
- Process sales and background checks and handle the required paperwork accurately
- Keep the showroom stocked, organized, clean, and safe
- Push featured products and promotions
- Stay up to date on new products and industry trends
- Take added responsibility for stocking, inventory, and store maintenance.
Qualifications
- 21 or older, able to pass a background check, and eligible to handle firearms under federal and state law
- Retail or sales experience preferred; firearms or sporting goods knowledge is a big plus
- Friendly, dependable, and comfortable talking with all kinds of customers
- Basic computer/POS skills and the ability to count and handle transactions accurately
- Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
- Available evenings and weekends
Compensation: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
